Meet Our Veterinary Team

Dr. Michael Hoge DVM, ISELP Certified:

Mike Hoge was raised in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley, where he was active in the AQHA youth division, Junior and High School Rodeo and 4-H. His first job at 11 years of age was with his mentor C.G. Dewell DVM.

After graduation from CSU he moved to Southern California and worked with race training and breeding barns. He established and an Equine Embryo Transfer facility and was a reproductive consultant at the San Diego Zoo. Later in his career his practice was primarily Performance & Pleasure horses with a focus on lameness.

“The frustration with an ambulatory equine practice is the limited time availability, often a treatment is rendered with minimal diagnostics”. This frustration evolved into continued education of equine anatomy, biomechanics, imaging and regenerative medicine (stem cells). Currently he lectures and teaches ultrasound at veterinary conferences.
